Grace's First Easter

I say this is her first Easter because technically it is- she was born in China and was probably born to Buddhist parents. Grace wasn't thrilled when I put her in her Easter dress- that I had bought for her 2 years ago in anticipation of having a girl. But she warmed up to the idea after she saw herself in the mirror and Scott's family told her how pretty she looked. It poured down rain so the egg hunt went indoors. It only took her a little while to get the idea of putting the eggs in ger basket- and that they had money in them!
We all had a great day and Grace was exhausted by the time we went home. She went to bed very willingly.

Future Stylist?

Grace pulled out the hair clips that Casey gave her and wanted me to put them in her hair- every last one of them. She sat so patiently while I put them in and just marvelled at how gorgeous she looked after. Since her hair is getting so long she will be in full pigtails in no time!

Chinese New Year

I have had no time to post any new pictures since January and am making at least this attempt to show how much Grace has grown. We are up to six teeth now and I know there is a molar in there somewhere. She has he hands in her mouth a lot- so something is coming in.

My little girl is not so little anymore- she is now into 12-18 month clothes, depending on what it is and I am sure she has gained another few pounds. We can always tell when she is about to sprout up again. She eats like a horse (more than her norm) and sleeps longer. Our dogs continue to be her best friends and are there to pick up any little morsel she either drops or gives them. She will make friends someday, but for now dogs are her best friends. I can relate to that 100%! FYI- Both Grace and I are born under the Chinese sign of the Dog- so it comes natural.
