OK- so most of you know I am a vegetarian and have been since I was 11 years old. So naturally I want to raise my children this way as well. Its a healthy way to live and I don't have to be worried my child is going to contract a disease or illness from poor meat processing or under cooking.
Grace has had a cold and a little fever this week and has decided she isn't hungry- for anything. I can't get this child to eat more that 3 bites before she tells me she is full. So I know she won't starve- buy I started to feel bad because I was forcing her to drink lots of fluids. But heck, how much fun can that be. So, I did it. I caved and fed my child fish sticks. I fed dead murdered fish to my child. It will be the ONLY dead animal I will feed her. So don't get all excited- you can't take her to MacDonald's for a happy meal- NO WAY. Now that I said it I feel bad that some fish died to feed my child. But she liked it and did eat 2 1/2 of them. She will of course have the choice when she gets older- but for now I think fish will be the only dead living breathing thing she'll get. You can only eat so many garden burgers and soy substitutes as a 2 1/2 year old before you get bored. I am guilt ridden.

We avoid McDonalds....or any fast food for Nate as much as possible..ugh!...and we're not vegetarians. Hope Gracie starts feeling better. Is Scott a vegetarian too? Do you guys like Indian food? I've made several vegetarian Indian dishes that Nate scarfs down. One time he asked for seconds 4 times! If you want the recipes, let me know.
Don't worry we all cave and do things that we never thought we would do when our kids are sick.
I have to admit we go to McDonalds once a week since it is right by the daycare, however Lily would just rather eat Kraft Macaroni and cheese
